- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve Removed
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve A (Bank 1)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve A (Bank 2)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B (Bank 1)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B (Bank 2)
Procedure/Specifications
1. Make sure that there are no dust or debris on each port of the VTC oil control solenoid valve.
2. Measure the length (a) of the valve.
Specifications
Position Specification a 5.0 mm (0.197 in) or more Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the VTC oil control solenoid valve
.
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve A (Bank 1)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve A (Bank 2)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B (Bank 1)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B (Bank 2)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve Removed
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve - Test
Preconditions
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve Removed
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve A (Bank 1)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve A (Bank 2)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B (Bank 1)
- VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve B (Bank 2)
- "VTC Oil Control Solenoid Valve - Check" is completed and has tested normal.
Procedure/Specifications
1. Measure the length (a) of the valve according to the following condition.

Condition Position Specification Terminal 12 Volt Battery Terminal No. 1 Positive terminal a Length should be at least 3.4 mm (0.134 in). No. 2 Negative terminal Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, replace the VTC oil control solenoid valve
