A/C Signal Circuit Troubleshooting: Inspection

A/C_MG_CLUTCH_RLY_CL- Open Wire Inspection 

NOTICE:  

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
  • Power distribution module connector C (18P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Power distribution module connector C (18P) female terminals	(Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P)  female terminals

	A/C_MG_CLUTCH_RLY_CL- open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ω

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

NOTICE:  

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Preconditions 

• A/C Compressor Clutch Check is normal

Test Procedure 

A/C clutch drive inspection

• Preparation
  • PCM connector B (72P): disconnected

• Procedure
  • Jump the PCM connector B (72P) terminal No. 24 and body ground with a jumper wire.
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

• Normal Conditions
  • There is a clicking noise from the A/C compressor clutch.

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with the PCM.
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

Power Distribution Module Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining power distribution module is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the power distribution module.
