APP Sensor Signal Inspection: Inspection

How to use this manual .

NOTICE:  

Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS before doing this procedure. If any DTCs are indicated, troubleshoot them first, then do this procedure.

NOTE: 

• This procedure checks the APP sensor in its fully closed position. In any other position, the PCM stores the APP sensor DTCs which are covered in other troubleshooting procedures.
• Press the accelerator pedal several times to check its operation. If it does not operate smoothly, check the pedal. If you find a problem, replace the accelerator pedal module .

1. APP Sensor Signal - Inspect

   Preconditions 

   • HDS Connected 

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.

     NOTICE:  

     Make sure the accelerator pedal is not pressed.

     • PGM-FI (System Selection Menu)
     • Data List
     • APP Sensor

   Specifications 

   HDS Item	Specification
   APP Sensor	0 %

   Result 

   • If the measurement is not within specifications, update the PCM to the latest software - Refer to: PCM Update ()  or PCM Reset ()  or substitute a known-good PCM , then recheck. If the recheck result is abnormal, replace the accelerator pedal module , and recheck.
