1. Camshaft Timing - Inspect

   Preconditions 

   • Right Front Wheel Removed
   • Front Timing Belt Upper Cover A

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. Turn the crankshaft so its white mark (a) on the crankshaft pulley lines up with the pointer (b). (Figure 1)

   2. Front: Check that the No. 1 piston top dead center (TDC) mark (c) on the VTC actuators and the pointers (d) on the cylinder head cover are aligned. (Figure 2)

   3. Rear: Check that the No. 1 piston top dead center (TDC) mark (c) on the VTC actuators and the pointers (d) on the upper cover are aligned. (Figure 3)

   Specifications 

   Specification
   Marks are aligned.

   Result 

   • If the marks are not aligned, remove the timing belt and reinstall the timing belt properly .
