Powertrain Control Module: Removal

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Locate PCM at left side of engine compartment. See Fig 1. Release PCM cover from mounting tabs on PCM bracket.
  2. Release PCM cover from mounting bracket. Remove PCM cover.
  3. Loosen both PCM connector retaining bolts. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. Release spring latch from PCM. Release PCM mounting tabs from PCM. Remove PCM.
