Body Control System

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Vehicle is equipped with three control modules which make up body control system. These modules include Dash Integration Module (DIM), Instrument Panel Module (IPM) and Rear Integration Module (RIM). DIM is also Power Mode Master (PMM) module for this system. Each module integrates input and output controls for many functional areas. Inputs and outputs are wired to closest module to minimize length and amount of wiring used. All three modules communicate on Class 2 serial data circuit, allowing data to be shared among them, as well as with other Class 2 modules on vehicle.
