Dash Integration Module

Air bag indicator light may remain on after replacement and during programming procedure for Dash Integration Module (DIM). After programming procedure is completed and ignition key is cycled from OFF and RUN positions, air bag indicator will turn off.

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below driver side of instrument panel, near steering column. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using scan tool, select DIM, then SPECIAL FUNCTIONS. Under special functions, select NEW VIN (to continue with procedure) or EXIT to go back to special functions.
  2. After NEW VIN is selected, follow scan tool instructions to edit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Press SAVE to save VIN information. Then press DONE to go back to special functions.
  3. Under special functions, select SETUP SDM SERIAL NUMBER IN DIM (to continue with procedure) or EXIT to go back to special functions.
  4. Scan tool will display DO YOU WANT TO SET UP A DASH INTEGRATION MODULE? If YES is selected, scan tool will display INITIALIZING NEW MODULE. If NO is selected, scan tool will return to special functions.
  5. Once set up is complete, scan tool will display MODULE INITIALIZED. To complete procedure, select EXIT and go to SPECIAL FUNCTIONS menu. Under special functions, select SET OPTIONS (to continue with procedure) or EXIT to go back to special functions.
  6. Under SET OPTIONS, select all systems one at a time and follow scan tool instructions under each different system until all programming is complete. Press EXIT to go back to special functions.
  7. Turn ignition switch to OFF for 10 seconds. Turn ignition switch to RUN. Use scan tool to clear all history DTCs. Reset owner desired memory settings (seats, mirrors, radio, A/C).
