Circuit/System Testing
Front Vision System Always On
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the frontview camera switch.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the frontview camera switch control circuit terminal B and ground
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the control circuit for a short to voltage.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the frontview camera switch.
LCD Always Deployed
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the ISRVM.
- Ignition ON, frontview camera switch OFF, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the control circuit terminal 9 and ground.
- If the test lamp does illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to voltage.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the ISRVM.
Front Vision System Does Not Display
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the frontview camera.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuit terminal B and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Ignition ON, frontview camera switch ON, test for 5.8-6.2 volts between the 6-volt reference circuit terminal A and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- If greater than the specified range, test the reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm between the camera video signal circuit terminal C and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the camera video signal circuit terminal C and ground.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the frontview camera module.
- Test for less than 3.0 ohms along the signal circuit terminal C to terminal 9.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 2 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 2 and the ground circuit terminal 3.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Frontview camera switch ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the control circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera switch.
- Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm between the camera video signal circuit terminal 11 and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ISRVM.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the camera video signal circuit terminal 11 and ground.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ISRVM.
- Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm between the camera video signal circuit terminal 12 and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ISRVM.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the camera video signal circuit terminal 12 and ground.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ISRVM.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the ISRVM.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm along the signal circuit terminal 11 to terminal 2.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm along the signal circuit terminal 12 to terminal 1.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the frontview camera module.
LCD Will Not Deploy
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the ISRVM.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 1 ohm of resistance between the ground circuit terminal 8 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 13 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, frontview camera switch ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the control circuit terminal 9 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera switch.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the ISRVM.
