Front Vision System Does Not Display
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the frontview camera.
- Test for less than 10.0 ohm between the ground circuit terminal B and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Engine running, frontview camera switch ON, test for 5.8-6.2 volts between the 6-volt reference circuit terminal A and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- If greater than the specified range, test the reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm between the camera video signal circuit terminal C and ground.
- If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Engine running, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the camera video signal circuit terminal C and ground.
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the frontview camera image display module.
- Test for less than 3.0 ohms between the signal circuit terminal C at the frontview camera harness connector and the signal circuit terminal 9 at the frontview camera image display module harness connector.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Engine running, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 2 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 2 and the ground circuit terminal 3.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Frontview camera switch ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the control circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the frontview camera switch.
- Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm between the camera video signal circuit listed below and ground.
- Signal circuit terminal 11
- Signal circuit terminal 12
- If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the inside rearview mirror.
- Engine running, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the camera video signal circuit listed below and ground.
- Signal circuit terminal 11
- Signal circuit terminal 12
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the inside rearview mirror.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the inside rearview mirror.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the signal circuit terminal 11 at the frontview camera image display module harness connector and the signal circuit terminal 2 at the inside rearview mirror harness connector.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the signal circuit terminal 12 at the frontview camera image display module harness connector and the signal circuit terminal 1 at the inside rearview mirror harness connector.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the frontview camera image display module.
