Installation Procedure

  1. Insert a new seal into the intake manifold groove.
  2. Position the throttle body (2) to the intake manifold.
    3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the throttle body bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the throttle body electrical connector (2).

  5. Connect the EVAP canister purge pipe (1) to the throttle control module (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Install the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement .
  7. Perform the throttle learn procedure. Refer to Throttle/Idle Learn .
