Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the power steering pump and the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement .

  3. Install the power steering pump and power steering pump fluid reservoir assembly (3) to the generator bracket.
  4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  5. Install the power steering pump bolts (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  6. Install the power steering pump pulley (1). Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LLR)  or Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LH8) .

  8. Install the generator bracket (2) and generator bracket bolts (1) to the vehicle with the power steering pump and power steering fluid reservoir assembly attached. Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
  9. Position the engine wiring harness bracket.
  10. Install the engine wiring harness bracket bolt and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
  11. Connect the power steering gear inlet and outlet hose. Refer to Power Steering Gear Inlet and Outlet Hose Replacement (LLR)  or Power Steering Gear Inlet and Outlet Hose Replacement (LH8) .
  12. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  13. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LLR) or Generator Replacement (LH8) .
  14. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory .
