Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge pipe (1) from the throttle control module (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector (2).

  4. Remove the throttle body bolts (1).
  5. Remove the throttle body (2) and the seal from the intake manifold.
  6. Clean the gasket surface.
