Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
Disconnect TPS connector at carburetor. Check resistance using an ohmmeter between terminals No. 2 and 3. See Fig 1 . Ensure that when throttle valve is slowly operated from closed to wide open throttle position, resistance changes smoothly. If resistance is not smooth, replace TPS.
