Scan Tester Procedure

Access Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) service data item No. 21. Scan tester should display sensor temperature with engine running. As engine temperature increases, monitor scan tester readings while measuring actual engine coolant temperature with thermometer. Scan tester readings should match thermometer readings.
