Harness Inspection

  1. Measure injector power supply voltage. Disconnect injector harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage at each injector harness connector terminal No. 1 (Black/Red wire) on Sonata V6, No. 2 (Red wire) on Sonata 4-Cylinder, No. 2 (Green/White wire) on all other models. If voltage measured is less than battery voltage, inspect and repair circuit(s) as needed.
  2. Check continuity of injector ground circuit. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Ensure ignition is off. Connect a jumper wire between each injector ECM terminal and ground. Disconnect injector harness connectors. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between each injector terminal and vehicle ground.
