Retrieving Codes (Scan Tester)
NOTE:
If scan tester is needed to perform diagnostic test with key in START position, an auxiliary power source is needed to operate scan tester. Use optional Battery Harness (09391-33500
).

- Ensure ignition is off. Connect scan tester to diagnostic connector in fuse panel. See Fig 1 . Plug scan tester power cord into cigarette lighter. Turn ignition on. Check for trouble codes. See Figure and Figure . Refer to appropriate diagnostic repair procedure.
- Erase trouble codes after repair is done. Operate vehicle and verify no trouble codes are reset. Disconnect scan tester.
