Ignition Timing
Ignition timing is computer controlled and is not adjustable. Standard reference timing data for various engine operating conditions is stored in Engine Control Module (ECM) memory. ECM controls ignition timing based on engine operating conditions (speed, load, temperature, etc.) and data stored in ECM memory. ECM controls timing through ignition coil operation.
