DTC P0300: Random Misfire Detected: Notes

NOTE: Battery voltage is applied to both ignition coils when ignition switch is in ON or START position. Coil No. 1 fires cylinders No. 1 and 4. Coil No. 2 fires cylinders No. 2 and 3. The ignition power transistor, controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM), provides switching circuit to ground for energizing primary ignition coils. When primary coil circuit is energized and de-energized, the secondary coil circuit provides a high voltage spike across attached spark plugs. At the same time, the tach interface (built in ignition power transistor) provides ECM and Transaxle Control Module (TCM) with an RPM signal.
