DTC P0132 & DTC P0138: Notes
Code Definition
- DTC P0132: O2 Sensor Circuit High Input (Bank 1/Sensor 1)
- DTC P0138: O2 Sensor Circuit High Input (Bank 1/Sensor 2)
CAUTION:
DO NOT disconnect battery or any other electrical connector while ignition is on. Component damage may result.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory system may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer system have completed a relearn cycle. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
If more than one DTC is stored in ECM memory, always perform diagnosis for first DTC stored in ECM memory, unless stated otherwise in test procedure.
NOTE:
In some instances a short to ground or a short to power may cause damage to control modules. Do not replace control modules until testing proves these conditions do not exist. Also verify that ground circuits have good continuity to ground.
NOTE:
Testing individual components does not isolate shorts or opens. Perform all voltage tests using a Digital Volt-Ohm Meter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance, unless stated otherwise in test procedure. Use ohmmeter to isolate wiring harness shorts or opens.
