Fuel Pump Test

Turn ignition off. Locate fuel pump check connector. See FUEL PUMP CHECK CONNECTOR LOCATOR  table. On Accent, apply battery voltage to fuel pump check connector. See Figure. On all other models, apply battery voltage to fuel pump check connector terminal No. 9. See Figure. On all models, remove fuel tank filler cap and listen for fuel pump operation noise. Also pinch fuel hoses by hand and ensure fuel pressure can be felt.
