Ignition Checks: Notes

NOTE: When troubleshooting components and component control circuits, see appropriate WIRING DIAGRAM under ENGINE PERFORMANCE in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS.

All model are equipped with a Distributorless Ignition System (DIS). DIS is a molded, dual-coil system. Ignition timing is controlled by the electronic control ignition timing system. The ignition timing curves for the engine operating conditions are programmed into the Engine Control Module (ECM) memory.
