1. Problem Verification

1. Connect a Hi-Scan (Pro) to the data link connector.
2. Start engine and monitor HO2S signals.
   • Refer to  CVVT ASSEMBLY  . 

Is CVVT system okay? 

No: Go to next step.

Yes: Problem is intermittent or was repaired and engine control module memory was not cleared. Proceed with intermittent problem procedure.
