Inspection Procedures

CHECK DTC RELEVANT TO TPS
1. Connect a Hi-Scan (Pro) to the data link connector.
2. Turn ignition to ON position and monitor other DTCs.
  Are any other DTC relating to TPS set?
No: Go to next

Yes: Do all repairs associated with those codes before proceeding with this procedure.
CHECK INTAKE SYSTEM
1. Inspect the intake system for the following items :
- Air leakage
- Connection of each component
  Are the items okay?
Yes: Go to next

No: Repair or replace it.
CHECK TPS
1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
2. Measure resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the TPS.
3. Measure resistance between terminals 2 and the 3 of TPS.

- Refer to SPECIFICATIONS for more information.
  Is resistance within specification?
Yes: Proceed with ECM PROBLEM PROCEDURE .

No: Replace TPS.
