Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the knob (A).

  2. Remove the Indicator assembly (A).

  3. Remove the center console assembly. (Refer to "INTERIOR " in BD group.)
  4. Remove the two screws (A) mounting floor air duct.

  5. Shift lever assembly connector (A).

  6. Remove the shift cable (A).

  7. Remove the shift lever assembly (B) by removing the bolts (A-4ea).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 ~ 13.7 N.m (0.9 ~ 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 10.1 lb-ft)

  8. Remove the shift cable assembly in the vehicle after removing the nuts (B) and the retainer (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 ~ 13.7 N.m (0.9 ~ 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 10.1 lb-ft)

  9. Remove the cable from the bracket at transaxle assembly side (Refer to "AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE " in this group).
  10. Remove the shift cable at cabin room.
