Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install the intake manifold module (A), and then tighten the nuts as following method.

    Tightening torque: 

    1st step:

    4.9 ~ 7.8N.m (0.5 ~ 0.8kgf.m, 3.6 ~ 5.8lb-ft)

    2nd step:

    19.6 ~ 26.5N.m (2.0 ~ 2.7kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 19.5lb-ft)

  2. Connect the PCV hose (A), the PCSV hose (B) and the water hoses (C) to the intake manifold module and the throttle body.

    CAUTION: The end of the hose with a white mark should be reconnected to the head cover.
  3. Reconnect the injector connectors (A).

  4. Connect the variable intake system (VIS) solenoid valve connector (A) and the wiring harness protector (B).

  5. Connect the purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) connector (A) and the injector connectors (B).

  6. Connect the ETC module connector (A).

  7. Connect the fuel hose (A), the purge control solenoid valve (PCSV) hose (B) and the brake booster vacuum hose (C).

  8. Install the air cleaner assembly.
    1. Install the resonator (F), the intake air hose (E) and air cleaner assembly (D).
    2. Reconnect the breather hose (B).
    3. Reconnect the air flow sensor (AFS) connector (C).
    4. Install the air duct (A).

      Tightening torque 

      Hose clamp bolt: 2.9 ~ 4.9N.m (0.3 ~ 0.5kgf.m, 2.2 ~ 3.6lb-ft)

      Air cleaner assembly bolts: 7.8 ~ 9.8N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2lb-ft)

  9. Install the engine room cover (A), the engine cover (B) and the radiator grill upper cover (C).

  10. Reconnect the battery negative terminal (A).

    Tightening torque:  4.0~6.0N.m (0.4~0.6kgf.m, 3.0~4.4lb-ft)
