Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to CONSOLE

  2. Remove the cover (A).

  3. Remove the select cable (B) by removing the snap pin (A).

  4. Remove the shift lever assembly (B) by removing the bolts (A-4ea).

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 14.5 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the shift cable (B) by removing the clip (A).

  6. Remove the retainer (A) after loosen the nut (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    11.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.2 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 87 ~ 10.8 lb-ft)

  7. Remove the following items.
    1. Air cleaner assembly and air duct.

      (Refer to "AIR CLEANER .

    2. Battery and battery tray.

      (Refer to "BATTERY .

  8. Remove the shift & select cable.
    1. Remove the pin (A) and washer (B).
    2. Make unlock clip (C) and then remove the shift & select cable and the clip (C) from the bracket.

      NOTE:
      • Do not reuse the clip (C).
  9. Remove the shift cable at cabin room.
