Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air intake hose.

    (Refer to "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Relax the engine wiring.
    1. Disconnect the ignition coil (A).
    2. Disconnect the OCV (B).
    3. Disconnect the CMPS (C).
    4. Disconnect the FPCV (D).
    5. Disconnect the PCSV (E).
    6. Remove the engine wiring installation bolts (F) and then remove the engine wiring harness (G).

  4. Remove the vacuum pipe installation bolts (A) and relax the bracket.
  5. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connect (B).
  6. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor (C).

    CAUTION:
    • Note that engine coolant may be flowed out from the water temperature control assembly when removing the sensor.
  7. Fill with engine coolant.
