Repair procedures: Installation

  1. Install the inhibitor switch. When installing, tighten the inhibitor assembly mounting bolts (A) loosely to allow any necessary adjustments to be made.

  2. Install the manual control lever (A).
  3. Tighten the nut (B) to the specified torque.

    Tightening torque: 

    16.7 ~ 25.5 N.m (1.7 ~ 2.6 kgf.m, 12.3 ~ 18.8 lb-ft)

  4. Install the SST (09480-A3800) or 0.1969in. (5mm) bolt after setting manual control lever (A) in the "N".

  5. Tighten the bolts (A) to the specified torque.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  6. Remove the SST(09480-A3800) or 0.1969in. (5mm) bolt.
  7. Install the shift cable and tighten the mounting nut (A).
  8. Connect the inhibitor switch connector (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    12.7 ~ 15.7 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 11.6 lb-ft)

    NOTE: Adjust the shift cable before tightening the nut.

  9. Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
