Removal And Installation

[LH] 

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Disconnect the LH ignition coil connectors (A) and then remove the LH ignition coils.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~8.7 lb-ft)

    NOTE: When disconnecting the ignition coil connector, pull out the locking pin (A) and then pull out the connector while pressing the clip (B).

  4. Installation is reverse order of removal.

[RH] 

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the surge tank.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "SURGE TANK ")

  3. Disconnect the RH ignition coil connectors (A) and then remove the RH ignition coils.

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 ~ 5.9 N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 ~ 4.3 lb-ft)

    NOTE: When disconnecting the ignition coil connector, pull out the locking pin (A) and then pull out the connector while pressing the clip (B).

  4. Installation is reverse order of removal.
