Repair Procedures: Removal
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A).

- Remove the intake manifold.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")
- Remove the mounting bolt (A), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
Knock sensor mounting bolt:
15.7-23.5 N.m (1.6-2.4 kgf.m, 11.6 - 17.4 lb-ft)
