GDI Injector
- Release the Residual Pressure in Fuel Line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")
- Remove the ignition coil connector (A).
- Remove the head foam (B).
- Remove the high pressure pump foam (A).
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the intercooler inlet hose.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTERCOOLER ")
- Remove the high pressure fuel pipe bracket installing bolt (A), and remove the flange nut (B).
Tightening torque:
A: 9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.6 lb-ft)
B: 26.4 - 32.3 N.m (2.7 - 3.3 kgf.m, 19.5 - 23.8 lb-ft)
- Remove the intake manifold.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")
- Disconnector the injector foam (A).
- Remove the high pressure fuel pipe flange nut (A).
- After remove the installing bolt (B), remove the delivery pipe & injector assembly.
Tightening torque
A: 26.4 - 32.3 N.m (2.7 - 3.3 kgf.m, 19.5 - 23.8 lb-ft)
B: 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.3 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the injector & rail sensor connector (A).
- Remove the injector from the fuel rail (A) after releasing the fixing clip both side as shown below.
