Repair Procedures: Installation
- Installation is reverse of removal.
Delivery pipe installation bolt:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)
Delivery pipe installation nut (←→ fuel feed tube):
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb-ft)
WARNING:- Do not reuse a high - pressure fuel pipe.
- When fastening the high pressure fuel pipe, fuel pipe, or the delivery pipe, be sure to follow the fastening process and tightening torque specification listed below. This is important since these are the main components of the high pressure fuel system.
- Sufficiently hand-tighten the nuts (A, B) positioned at the both ends of the fuel pump and delivery pipe, while keeping the nuts vertically.
- Mount and Tightly fasten the fuel pipe clamp bracket (C) completely using a torque wrench.
Bolts used to mount the high - pressure fuel pipe clamp bracket: 0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m
- Use a torque wrench and special service tool to fully tighten the nuts (A, B) at the ends of the fuel pump and delivery pipe to the specified tightening torque.
when tightening the nuts, make sure the torque wrench is not inclined.
Nuts on both ends of the high - pressure fuel pipe joint: 3.0 - 3.6 kgf.m
CAUTION:- Be careful not to transform the shape of the high pressure fuel pipe.
- Be careful not to tilt the tool when tightening the nuts.
- Inspect fuel leakage after high pressure fuel pipe assembly.
- Use the special service tool (0931 - 3Q100) to install the high pressure fuel pipe.
