Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Lift the vehicle.
  3. Remove the installation bolts and then remove the fuel tank air filter cover (A).

    Fuel tank air filter cover installation bolt: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  4. Disconnect the canister close valve extension connector (A).

  5. Disconnect the ventilation hose (A).

  6. Remove the fuel tank air filter mounting bracket (A).

  7. Remove the fuel tank air filter (A) from the canister after rotating it in the direction of the arrow in the figure.

  8. Disconnect the canister close valve connector (A).

  9. Releasing the fixing hook (A).
  10. Remove the canister close valve (B) from the canister after rotating it in the direction of the arrow in the figure.
