Repair Procedures: Removal
NOTE:
(Refer to Automatic Transaxle System - "Automatic Transaxle Control System REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- If you replace the PCM, you must perform oil pressure characteristics back up & input (TCU Replacement).
(Refer to Automatic Transaxle System - "Automatic Transaxle Control System REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
NOTE:
- When replacing the ECM, the vehicle equipped with immobilizer must be performed the procedure as below.
[In the case of installing used ECM]
- Perform
"ECM neutralization mode" procedure with diagnostic tool.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM ")
- Insert the key and turn it to the IGN ON and OFF position.
Then the ECM key register process is completed automatically.
[In the case of installing new ECM]
- Insert the key and turn it to the IGN ON and OFF position.
Then the ECM key register process is completed automatically.
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the battery.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
- Disconnect the ECM connector (A).
- Remove the bracket installation bolts & nut (A), and then remove the ECM (B).
ECM Installation bolt & nut:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Remove the installation nuts (A), and then remove the ECM (B) from the bracket.
ECM Bracket installation bolt:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
