Throttle Position Sensor

  1. Disconnect throttle position sensor harness connector. Connect ohmmeter leads between sensor terminals "E" and "F". Refer to Figure .
  2. With throttle valve fully closed, resistance should be approximately 400 ohms. With throttle valve half-way open, resistance should be between 400-5000 ohms. With throttle valve in full open position, resistance should be approximately 5000 ohms. Adjust or replace throttle position sensor if resistance is not as specified.
