TCS Control Unit

TCS control unit uses input signals from wheel sensors and other sources. Control unit evaluates factors such as rear wheel slip, road and driving conditions. After evaluating these factors, control unit sends a DC current (about 5 amps, about 2 amps, or zero amps) to TCS actuator and/or Throttle Control Module (TCM).

TCS control unit also possesses an ABS function. In addition, TCS control unit possesses self-diagnosis and fail-safe functions. When a fault is detected, system releases its control over throttle and brakes. SLIP and TCS OFF indicators and/or ABS warning lamps light up and the LED flashes number of times corresponding to fault location. See Figure and Fig 1- Figure .
