Sub-Camshaft Position Sensor Signal

Set analog voltmeter to 100-mV AC scale. Connect positive voltmeter lead to terminal "a" and negative voltmeter lead to terminal "b" of sub-camshaft position sensor terminal connector. See Figure . Rotate camshaft position sensor shaft slowly by hand; voltmeter should deflect. If analog voltmeter does not deflect, replace camshaft position sensor.
