With Nissan CONSULT Scan Tool

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect Nissan CONSULT to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under instrument panel next to parking brake release handle. Turn ignition on. Touch START, IVMS, then REMOTE CONT ID REG on scan tool display. Touch START on scan tool display. Original ID code(s) are erased and power door locks will lock, unlock and hazard warning lights will flash twice.
  2. Push lock button on remote controller once. ID code for new remote controller has now been entered. Power door locks will lock, unlock and hazard warning lights will flash twice to confirm.
  3. Repeat step  2 to enter additional remote controller ID codes. A maximum of 4 remote controller ID codes can be entered. If same ID code is entered more than once, the entry is ignored. After programming all remote controllers to be used with system, touch END on scan tool display.
