With NISSAN Consult Scan Tool

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect Nissan CONSULT to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under instrument panel, next to parking brake release handle. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Press START, IVMS, then REMOTE CONT ID REG button on scan tool display. Press START button on scan tool display. Original identity code(s) are erased and power door locks will lock and unlock, and hazard warning light will flash twice.
  2. Push lock button on remote controller once. Identity code for new remote controller has now been entered. Power door locks will lock and unlock, and hazard warning light will flash twice to confirm.
  3. To enter additional remote controller identity code(s), repeat step  2 . A maximum of 4 remote controller identity codes can be entered. If same identity code is entered more than once, entry is ignored. After programming all remote controllers to be used with system, press END button on scan tool display.
