Door Switch Circuit Check
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Using a voltmeter, backprobe appropriate terminals at Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) harness connector with door in appropriate position. See DOOR SWITCH INPUT VOLTAGE TEST
table. See Figure
. If voltage is not as specified, go to next step. If voltage is as specified, door switch input signals are okay at this time.
- Test malfunctioning door switch. See DOOR SWITCH
under COMPONENT TESTS. If door switch is defective, replace door switch. If door switch is okay, check door switch ground circuit and signal circuits for opens and/or shorts and repair as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
