Fail-Safe Modes: Notes

ECM/PCM enters a fail-safe mode if certain malfunctions are detected due to an open or short circuit. When ECM/PCM enters fail-safe mode, MIL illuminates. Refer to all diagnostic tests that apply for description and testing of circuit affected.
