DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when ECM receives improper voltage signal from FPCM. Possible causes are:

• FPCM circuit open or shorted.
• Defective dropping resistor.
• Defective FPCM.

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR with scan tool. Start engine. Ensure TCS switch is in OFF position. Shift transmission into Drive. Drive vehicle at a speed of 43-62 MPH for 12 seconds.
