Control Unit
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS/TCS control unit. See Figure . Check terminals for damage or loose connections. Repair as necessary. Reconnect harness connector. Perform self-diagnostics again. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . Check ABS warning light. If ABS warning light stays on, go to next step. If ABS warning light does not stay on, system is okay.
- Check ABS/TCS control unit power supply circuit. See 2 . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair as necessary.
- Perform self diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . If screen indicated CONTROLLER FAILURE, replace ABS/TCS control unit. If any DTC's were listed, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
