Test J: TCS Off Switch Inoperative
- Remove TCS OFF switch from dash and disconnect switch harness connector. Check continuity between TCS OFF switch terminals No. 2 and 3. See Fig 1
. Depress switch, continuity should exist. Release switch. Continuity should not exist. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace TCS OFF switch.
- Disconnect ABS/TCS control unit 31 pin harness connector. See Figure
. Check continuity of Light Blue wire between TCS OFF switch harness connector terminal No. 2 and ABS/TCS control unit 31 pin harness connector terminal No. 31. Also check circuit for short to ground and short to voltage. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. If problem is found, repair as necessary and retest system to confirm problem was fixed or no longer exist. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check continuity between ground and TCS OFF switch harness connector terminal No. 3 (Black wire). See Fig 1
. If continuity exists, system is okay. If continuity does not exist, repair open in ground circuit.
