2001 Model

  1. Disconnect A/T device harness connector, located below selector lever housing. See Figure . Check for continuity between A/T device harness connector terminals No. 5 and 6. Figure . Continuity should only exist with selector lever in "P" position and selector lever button depressed or with selector lever in any position other than "P" position and selector lever button released.
  2. Check for continuity between A/T device harness connector terminals No. 5 and 7. Continuity should only exist with selector lever in "P" position and selector lever button depressed or with selector lever in any position other than "P" position and selector lever button released.
