DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
If DTC confirmation procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
Using CONSULT-II
- Start engine (TCS or VDC switch in OFF position).
- Read VHCL SPEED SE in DATA MONITOR mode. The vehicle speed on CONSULT-II display should exceed 6 MPH when rotating wheels with suitable gear position. If NG is displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If OK is displayed, go to next step.
- Select DATA MONITOR mode.
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature.
- Maintain the following conditions for at least 60 consecutive seconds. See Fig 1.
- If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
