DTC Confirmation Test

NOTE: Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 volts at idle. Always perform the test at a temperature above 14°F (-10°C).

Open hood. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Turn ignition on again and select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Start engine and run it for at least one minute at idle speed. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
