Diagnostic Procedure

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check voltage between TCM terminal and ground.

OK or NG 

1. OK : GO TO 2.
2. NG : GO TO 3.

1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Check voltage between TCM terminal and ground.

OK or NG 

1. OK : GO TO 4.
2. NG : GO TO 3.

Check the following items:

• Harness for short or open between battery and TCM terminal 9
• Harness for short or open between ignition switch and TCM terminals 2, 3, 33 and 42
• 10A fuse [No. 32 or 35, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
• Ignition switch. Refer to , " POWER SUPPLY ROUTING  "  .
• A/T PV IGN relay. Refer to " Component Inspection  "  .
• ECM relay. Refer to ,"   POWER SUPPLY ROUTING"  .

OK or NG 

1. OK : GO TO 4.
2. NG : Repair or replace damaged parts.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect TCM harness connector.
3. Check continuity between TCM terminals 5 (B), 14 (B), 24 (B), 46 (B) and ground.

   1. Continuity should exist. 

   If OK, check harness for short to ground and short to power.

OK or NG 

1. OK : GO TO 5.
2. NG : Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.

Check again. Refer to " DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE  "  .

OK or NG 

1. OK : Inspection end. 
2. NG : GO TO 6.

1. Check TCM input/output signal. Refer to , " TCM INPUT/OUTPUT SIGNAL REFERENCE VALUES  "  .
2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

OK or NG 

1. OK : Inspection end. 
2. NG : Repair or replace damaged parts.
