DTC Confirmation Procedure
CAUTION:
Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
NOTE:
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
- Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V with ignition switch ON .
WITH CONSULT-III
- Turn ignition switch ON and select "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-III.
- Check that "COOLAN TEMP/S" indication is less than 70°C (158°F). If not, cool down the engine.
- Start engine.
- Hold vehicle under the following conditions for 12 seconds.ENGINE SPEED SPECIFICATION
ENG SPEED 1, 375 - 3, 475 RPM VHCL SPEED SE More than 70 km/h (43 MPH) B/FUEL SCHDL 1.5 - 23.0 msec Selector lever position Suitable position - Check 1st trip DTC.
- If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".
WITH GST
Follow the procedure "WITH CONSULT-III" above.
