DTC Confirmation Procedure

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

   TESTING CONDITION: Always perform test at a temperature of 5°C (41 °F) or more  .

   : GO TO 2.

◦ With CONSULT 

1. Perform "INSPECTION MODE 5". Refer to "DESCRIPTION ".
2. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch ON.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
6. Turn ignition switch ON.
7. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "ENGINE" with CONSULT.
8. Make sure that "FUEL T/TMP SE" is more than 0°C (32°F).
9. Perform "INSPECTION MODE 5". Refer to "DESCRIPTION ".
10. Start engine and wait at least 20 seconds.
11. Check 1st trip DTC.

ⓧ With GST 

1. Perform "INSPECTION MODE 5". Refer to "DESCRIPTION ".
2. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
3. Set voltmeter probes to ECM harness connector terminals as per the following.

   ECM
   Connector	+	-
   	Terminal	Terminal
   M107	106 (Fuel tank temperature sensor signal)	128 (ECM gound)

4. Make sure that the voltage is less than 4.2 V.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
6. Turn ignition switch ON.
7. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
8. Perform "INSPECTION MODE 5". Refer to "DESCRIPTION ".
9. Start engine and wait at least 20 seconds.
10. Check 1st trip DTC.

    Is 1st trip DTC detected? 

    YES: Go to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".

    NO: INSPECTION END
